Volunteer in Schools in Africa

Many schools in Ghana, a state in West Africa, require assistance from committed volunteers. Insufficient government funding can be made up by enthusiastic volunteers who speak English well. As a volunteer with one of our programs, you may make a positive impact while visiting a new and fascinating nation.

Engage in child-related activities in Ghana!

What is a Trotro? Who is Obruni? These are two questions that you will undoubtedly be able to respond to following your project, Social Work with Children and Teaching in Ghana. Ghanaians welcome visitors with open arms and will rapidly acquaint you with their way of life. You will get to know the locals through your volunteer work in a remote area away from tourists and exchange firsthand accounts of your experiences in West Africa.

By the way, the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has given Ghana the Safe Travels seal of health and hygiene requirements! so that you can return there safety.

About The Project

The Volunteering Task

  1. Teaching and Classroom Support:

    • Volunteers assist teachers by leading classes, tutoring students, and facilitating educational activities.

    • They may teach subjects like English, math, science, or life skills, depending on the school’s needs.

  2. School Infrastructure Improvement:

    • Volunteers participate in construction and renovation projects within the school premises.

    • This could involve building or repairing classrooms, libraries, or other facilities to create a conducive learning environment.

  3. Life Skills Workshops:

    • Volunteers organize workshops on practical life skills, such as hygiene, financial literacy, and computer literacy.

    • Empowering students with these skills enhances their overall well-being and future prospects.

  4. Women’s Empowerment Initiatives:

    • Some school projects focus on empowering girls and women.

    • Volunteers may lead workshops on gender equality, self-confidence, and vocational training.

  5. Community Engagement and Cultural Exchange:

    • Beyond the classroom, volunteers engage with the local community.

    • They learn about local customs, traditions, and languages while sharing their own culture.

    • Cultural exchange fosters understanding and mutual respect.

Remember that volunteering isn’t just about what you give—it’s also about what you learn and the connections you make. By dedicating your time and energy, you’ll contribute to positive change and create lasting memories.
